Derek Engineering, Inc. was established in Louisville, Kentucky in 1987 as a full-service general contractor specializing in commercial and industrial construction. Founder and CEO, David Steinbrecher had the vision of providing not only a quality product but also developing long-term relationships with clients. The company’s success and growth are directly attributed to repeat clientele and our ability to meet their needs. While every company strives for that goal, thirty-three years in business are a testament to that formula.

 

In 2018, Derek Engineering, Inc. expanded to the Arizona market. Operating as Derek Builders, the Arizona based full-service commercial general contractor, spearheaded by Southwest Region President, Jeff Bateman, has made its mark with great success.

 

The stellar reputation and extensive construction experience within the Derek Builders team combined with quality work and integrity, directly reflects the core values the company was built on over three decades ago.

 

The company has extensive experience building retail centers, schools, cold storage, distribution centers, restaurants, offices, pharmaceutical facilities, and healthcare centers. Additional areas of expertise includes expansion and renovation services as well as construction management services. We are licensed in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, Arizona, California and Nevada.
